Terms & Conditions
1. Who we are
PARTSPRINT 3D is a UK-based 3D printing business based in Scotland. Contact hello@partsprint.co.uk. We are not VAT registered and do not charge VAT. Prices are in pounds sterling. Business postal address is awaiting confirmation. This must be resolved before genuine customer orders are accepted.
2. Quotes, payment and acceptance
We provide custom 3D printing from customer files, plus separately quoted design, reverse-engineering and related services. Check the dimensions, specification, quantity and delivery information before payment. Quotes may be instant or manually reviewed; any stated expiry applies. Payment and order receipt do not mean acceptance or that production has started. After manufacturability review, we accept the order when it is marked PRODUCTION APPROVED and we send the Production Approved confirmation. If we cannot accept the work, we will contact you to agree an alternative or refund the affected order before manufacture. We will not substitute specifications or charge more without agreement. Separately quoted services will identify their scope and any additional cancellation information before agreement.
3. Your files and rights
You must own the design or have a licence, permission or other lawful entitlement to have it reproduced. You retain the rights you hold in your files and give us only the permission necessary to assess and manufacture the requested part. Files remain private, not part of a public model gallery. Provide accurate dimensions, specifications and relevant intended-use information. A quotation does not validate your design or certify fitness for a particular application.
4. Dimensions, materials and finish
Check the displayed dimensions and specification before ordering. STL dimensions are interpreted in millimetres. Additive manufacturing has material- and geometry-dependent tolerances, visible layer lines and possible support marks. Colour varies by filament batch and screen. We choose orientation and supports unless agreed otherwise. Critical fits, finishes and tolerances require prior written agreement. PLA+ is our economical general-purpose default; PETG offers durability for many functional parts; ABS offers heat resistance for suitable applications. Other materials are available by request. Tell us about loads, temperature, chemicals and other demanding conditions. These characteristics do not excuse failure to meet an agreed specification or statutory rights.
5. Safety and acceptable use
We accept ordinary lawful prototypes, replacement parts and functional components within our demonstrated capability. Safety-critical, structural or demanding load-bearing, vehicle control/braking, medical, food-contact, electrical-safety and pressure-containing uses require prior assessment. We decline work where suitable materials, processes, testing or regulatory requirements cannot be established. We reject unlawful manufacture, infringement and regulated weapon components. A print quotation does not certify a customer design for its intended use. A customer waiver cannot make an unsafe application acceptable. Statutory rights remain unaffected.
6. Production and delivery
Printed and dispatched from the UK. Standard production is estimated at 2–3 working days after approval. Royal Mail Tracked 48 aims to deliver in 2–3 working days after dispatch; this is not guaranteed and some postcode areas take longer. UK tracked delivery is £4.50, free on a qualifying parts subtotal of £50 or more. Oversize/heavy jobs may require a separate delivery quotation. Free collection is available by arrangement. Northern Ireland is included; Channel Islands and Isle of Man are excluded from normal checkout. Priority Production requires separate confirmation. We notify you at dispatch, with tracking where available. Contact us about delay, loss or damage so we can investigate. Check your address; if delivery fails we will discuss next steps and any appropriate redelivery cost before agreement. We do not charge you for correcting our delivery error. Delivery estimates do not limit statutory remedies for delay or non-delivery.
7. Changes and cancellation
Contact hello@partsprint.co.uk promptly with your order reference. You may withdraw an order before we accept it and receive a refund. We normally accommodate cancellation or changes before production starts where possible. Once manufacture starts, requests are assessed individually and any proposed costs or changes require agreement. This voluntary policy does not limit statutory rights. The statutory change-of-mind right may not apply to genuinely bespoke goods made to your specifications or personalised, where the legal exception applies; manufacture after ordering alone does not establish the exception.
8. Where statutory change-of-mind cancellation applies
You can cancel from placing the order until 14 days after receiving the goods, and have another 14 days to return them. Notify us by email, the model form below or another clear statement. You pay direct return costs unless the law or circumstances require otherwise. We refund the goods and standard outbound delivery within the applicable legal period, normally within 14 days of receiving the return or evidence of return, whichever is earlier, using the original payment method unless agreed otherwise and without refund fees. A lawful deduction may apply for handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the goods. Contact us before ordering unusually large goods for applicable return arrangements/costs. Faulty-goods rights remain separate.
9. Faults, returns and refunds
We are responsible for supplying goods that meet the contract and statutory consumer rights. For faulty, damaged, misdescribed, incorrectly manufactured or otherwise non-conforming goods, contact hello@partsprint.co.uk with your order reference and the problem. Photographs can help but are not a condition of exercising your rights. Depending on the circumstances you may be entitled to a refund, repair or replacement. We cover reasonable necessary return costs where goods do not conform. Contact us for return instructions before posting; this does not restrict statutory rights. Custom manufacture does not remove these remedies.
10. Responsibility, complaints and law
You are responsible for your supplied design and information; we remain responsible for our work and legal obligations. Nothing excludes statutory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud. Send complaints to hello@partsprint.co.uk with your reference and the outcome sought. Scots law applies, without removing mandatory consumer protections or rights to bring proceedings available where you live in the UK.
