Privacy Notice
Who we are
PARTSPRINT 3D, based in Scotland, is the controller of your personal information. Contact hello@partsprint.co.uk for privacy requests. Business postal address is awaiting confirmation. This must be resolved before genuine customer orders are accepted.
What we collect
We collect names, emails, optional telephone numbers, delivery addresses, customer models and supporting files, enquiries, quotations, specifications and order details. Records include payment references/status and refunds, checkout confirmations and Terms versions, production history, tracking, contract confirmations, correspondence and email delivery records. We keep proportionate operational/security information. Without required contact, specification or delivery information we may be unable to assess or fulfil a request. No customer account is required.
Why we use information
We process enquiries, quotes, manufacturability review, orders, payments and delivery to take steps at your request or perform a contract. Legal obligations support required financial record-keeping. Our legitimate interests support proportionate security, fault investigation, business records and resolving claims; we balance these against your rights. We do not use customer information for advertising profiles or mailing lists.
Private models
Models and supporting files are private and accessible only through authorised customer/operator routes. We use them to assess and fulfil your request, not to populate a public gallery. You retain your rights. Operator-side Bambu/Orca slicing is local; this website does not send models to a cloud slicing service. Please keep private quote links confidential.
Providers and sharing
OVHcloud provides hosting/server and backup infrastructure. Stripe handles hosted payments; we store payment references/status, not full card details. Resend sends website transactional email. Purelymail handles normal human correspondence at hello@partsprint.co.uk. Royal Mail receives the details needed for delivery. Providers may have independent legal responsibilities for some processing and are not all acting solely as our processors. We may share necessary information with professional advisers or authorities where required.
International processing
Do not assume all supplier processing occurs in the UK. Stripe describes international processing in its privacy documentation. Resend documents US storage and contractual safeguards including a UK Addendum in its data-processing terms. Purelymail's published privacy notice describes email storage, but does not establish the applicable UK transfer arrangement for this account. Provider/account transfer arrangements remain a launch verification item; contact hello@partsprint.co.uk for details. We do not claim unverified locations, certifications or safeguards.
Retention
Unused/unsubmitted uploads are scheduled for deletion after 30 days without related activity; closed enquiries and supporting files after 12 months; completed model/production files after 12 months from fulfilment. Routine technical/security logs are reviewed for deletion after 90 days where appropriate, and routine email delivery records after 12 months. These are manually administered retention periods, not automatic deletion. Active work, disputes, refunds and legal claims are held where necessary. Essential order, customer, payment/accounting and contract records are retained for the applicable statutory period: normally at least five years after the 31 January Self Assessment submission deadline for the relevant tax year, longer where legally required. We retain only information justified by the purpose. Private backup copies expire through backup rotation; deletion is not necessarily immediate in backups. Restored copies remain subject to deletion requests. Contact us for earlier deletion; legal obligations may require some records to remain.
Cookies and access
An essential first-party HTTP-only session cookie links your browser to private uploads, basket and orders and expires after 30 days without renewal. Clearing cookies removes browser access, not stored records. There is no advertising analytics or embedded social-tracking integration. Social links open external services with their own policies. Payment providers operate their own hosted pages.
Your rights
Subject to applicable conditions, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of personal data. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Email hello@partsprint.co.uk; we may make proportionate identity checks. We normally respond within one month, subject to legal extensions/exceptions. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.
